Congratulations to Seth Arnold
State 5A Pole Vault Champion !!!
Seth Arnold won the pole vault by clearing
15 feet, 9 inches, a personal best.
"It feels great," he said. "It's good to get a medal. I knew I needed to do my best to win."
Don Arnold, Seth's dad and his pole vault coach, congratulated his son on the track just after it was announced over the loudspeaker that he had taken the title.
"It's awesome," Don Arnold, whose son Zach twice competed at state for New Caney a few years back. "He did really good. It's pretty tough when you come to a meet and need to get a personal best in this big arena."
