Welcome to Aikin Elementary! The staff and I are looking forward to an outstanding school year. Whether you are a recent addition to our school family, or a long time member, we hope that you and your child enjoy your time at Aikin. Elementary school is where the foundation of a good education begins. The years spent at elementary school are important to the development of any child. The basic concepts of reading, writing, math, science and social studies are not only started at the elementary level, but are continued and built upon each year. One of the most important things that parents can do to help their child succeed is to stay in contact with their child’s teacher. Aikin Elementary has a dedicated staff that puts forth every effort to make sure that each child has the chance to succeed. Yet, it takes a team effort between teachers and parents to make the most of a child’s opportunity to succeed. It is my sincere hope that through the teamwork of teachers, parents, and community members, every child that enters into Aikin Elementary will have the opportunity to shine.
